Overview of FELMAUSA

The Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the USA (FELMAUSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as a unifying body for the Liberian Mandingo community across the United States. Established to promote cultural heritage, community development, and humanitarian efforts, FELMAUSA is committed to improving the lives of Liberians both in the diaspora and at home.

Mission and Vision

Mission: To empower and uplift communities through education, healthcare, and economic development initiatives, while fostering unity among Liberian Mandingos.

Vision: To create a self-sufficient and thriving community that contributes positively to society and supports vulnerable populations in Liberia.

Key Programs and Achievements

1. Education Support: Scholarships and the Backpack Program provide educational resources to students in the U.S. and Liberia.
2. Medical Missions: Since 2011, FELMAUSA has delivered free healthcare services, including eye surgeries, consultations, and medications to underserved communities in Liberia.
3. Humanitarian Programs: 10,000 pairs of shoes and clothing were distributed to vulnerable groups, including Liberian law enforcement.
4. Ramadan Quick Impact Program: Since 2019, the annual distribution of food and essentials to Muslim communities in Liberia has been ongoing.
5. Hospital Project: FELMAUSA’s flagship initiative is a 75-bedroom, 3-story hospital in Monrovia, Liberia, which is currently under construction.
